Pottery Workshops

Ever wanted to try your hand at pottery? Learn how to turn a bit of mud into your own planter or mug! My studio mate @smugpots and I have teamed up to teach the hootinest tootinest clay workshops in town.

Which class is right for me?

Both of our pottery workshops are beginner's friendly, but here are the key differences between Wheel Throwing and Hand Building Workshops:

Wheel Throwing

For the Adventurous

Ready to get your hands dirty with an exciting new skill? Try your hand at an electric pottery wheel! For beginners, we'll teach you how to center a piece of clay on the wheel, and then pull the walls up to create a vessel. Later you'll get to hand glaze your creation in a color and design of your choice

Hand Building

Slow Paced Pottery

Want to have a relaxed date night or creative night out with a friend? This workshop is for those who like to take their time, you'll be sculpting your clay into a mug or plant pot by hand. You'll also have the chance to add a handle your creation, and brush paint glaze on your piece in the design of your choice

Hand Lettering Workshops

Pens, charts, and other hand lettering workshop supplies are displayed beside a plant

Where it all began - Kate's been lettering since she could pick up a pencil, and loves teaching others how to create their own unique inklings!

"Great experience at a recent handlettering class! Kate was encouraging and helpful with tips and tricks to help my friends and I with the lettering process. The class was organized and timely. I'm looking forward to trying some other classes with her in the future:)"
